Spark the Flame! Ausstellungsraum Klingental Basel 13.12.2025

Welche Rolle spielen Kunst, Kultur und Carearbeit im gesellschaftlichen Gleichstellungsdiskurs?
Was ist sichtbar und was nicht? Wie schaffen wir Teilhabe und wie gerechte Arbeitsbedingungen zu Hause und im Kultursektor?

Das Netzwerk art+care lädt alle Interessierten dazu ein, ihren Mental Load zu teilen, sich an der wärmenden Feuerstelle mit anderen auszutauschen und Stockbrot zu essen. Bringt gerne Eure Freund*innen und Familien mit. Parallel dazu findet ein moderiertes Panel-Gespräch im Foyer in Kooperation mit der Fachstelle Gleichstellung Basel-Stadt statt. Die Veranstaltung ist Teil des Rahmenprogramms der Regionale 26. Die Ausstellung wird ebenfalls den ganzen Nachmittag geöffnet sein.

What role do art, culture, and care work play in the social discourse on equality? What is visible and what is not? How can we create participation and fair working conditions at home and in the cultural sector?

The art+care network invites all interested parties to share their mental load, exchange ideas with others around a warming fire pit, and eat bread on a stick. Feel free to bring your friends and family. At the same time, a moderated panel discussion will take place in the foyer in cooperation with the Basel-Stadt Equality Office. The event is part of the supporting program for Regionale 26. The exhibition will also be open all afternoon.

Participatory performance:
Mental Load Exchange by the Fire with artistic interventions by Alessia Conidi with Patricia Huijnen and Sophie Wohlgemuth. Outdoor at the entrance, 2–6:30 p.m.
